Operate various tools and light machinery essential for track maintenance, such as tampers, rail saws, and drilling equipment. Performs welding and grinding operations on rails as needed to ensure the track surface remains smooth and meets operational standards. Assisting with the transportation, placement, and organization of permanent way materials, while ensuring their correct storage and handling. Maintains site cleanliness and ensures the work area remains safe by eliminating debris and other hazards. Respond promptly to emergency repair directives from the Inspector, executing necessary track repairs to maintain operational integrity and safety. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and executing minor repairs on tools and equipment under their supervision. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is required, along with proficiency in [specific tools, software, or languages].
