Security Supervisor
Uganda Tea Corporation Limited (UTCL) is recruiting a Security Supervisor for its site located along the Kampala-Jinja highway, near Lugazi Town Council in Buikwe District, approximately 48 km from Kampala and 40 km from Jinja, opposite Mt ST Mary's College Namagunga.
Company Background
UTCL is primarily involved in tea production, with 80% of sales destined for the international market and 20% for the local market. The tea produced is exported to Mombasa, Kenya, for the auction market alongside other East African tea companies, and then sold. The company is also involved in other activities such as afforestation, coffee, cocoa, and bananas. UTCL produces over 3.5 million kilograms of tea per year, representing 10% of Uganda's national production.
Responsibilities
The Security Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of security guards, investigate security incidents, report risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and secure environment. He/she will supervise, plan, and support security personnel to ensure effective team performance, conduct boundary inspections, report encroachments, and maintain secure company boundaries. He/she will maintain security records and reports, communicate management directives, and perform tasks assigned by the Security Manager.
Desired Profile
'A' level certificate with experience in a security role, preferably a former soldier or former police officer. Ability to enforce compliance and maintain discipline. At least two years of experience in the same role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities. Women are also encouraged to apply. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of digital tools for monitoring.
