Manage the full payroll lifecycle for employees, ensuring timely and accurate salary processing in accordance with employment contracts, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Oversee and validate payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, and variations for both direct hired and outsourced employees to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure full compliance with Ivory Coast labor law, tax regulations, and statutory bodies (e.g., CNPS, ITS, income tax), avoiding penalties and legal exposure.
Coordinate directly with subcontractors to resolve payroll discrepancies, clarify payroll assumptions, and ensure timely correction of errors affecting outsourced personnel.
Review, approve, and submit monthly payroll outputs, bank transfer files, and statutory declarations for directly hired employees.
Lead payroll reconciliations between HR, Finance, subcontractor submissions, and bank records to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy.
Manage payroll audits (internal and external), including audits related to subcontracted labor, and prepare required supporting documents, reports, and explanations.
Supervise and provide technical guidance to Payroll Assistants or payroll staff to ensure quality, consistency, and knowledge development.
Serve as the escalation point for complex payroll cases including terminations, end-of-service benefits, retroactive payments, and disputes (direct and outsourced workforce, where applicable).
Coordinate with HR and site managers on new hires, contract changes, promotions, terminations, and mobilization/demobilization to ensure payroll accuracy.
Maintain payroll controls, data confidentiality, and segregation of duties in line with internal governance and data protection standards.
Prepare analytical payroll reports, cost summaries, and headcount data (including outsourced workforce data where required) to support management decision-making and project costing.
Ensure proper documentation, filing, and archiving of payroll records to support audits and statutory inspections.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and subcontractor payroll oversight mechanisms and lead implementation of improvements.
Report any payroll-related compliance, fraud, or ethical concerns in line with company policies.
Prepare, review, and submit monthly payroll accrual reports (including salaries, overtime, allowances, bonuses, end‑of‑service benefits, and statutory liabilities) to the Finance Department to support accurate financial reporting and period‑end close
Education & Professional Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Work Experience: Minimum 7-9 years of payroll experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Technical Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Ivory Coast labor law, payroll tax, and social security requirements, Advanced payroll processing and reconciliation skills, Proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems, Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, High level of integrity and confidentiality, Fluency in French and English required
