Resident Coordinator at United Nations
United Nations is recruiting a Resident Coordinator to lead and coordinate the UN's operational activities for development at the country level. The Resident Coordinator is the highest-ranking representative of the UN system in the country and is responsible for ensuring coherence and effectiveness of the UN's work.
Missions
As Resident Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the UN Country Team, ensuring strategic alignment of UN programs with national development priorities, and fostering partnerships with government, civil society, and other stakeholders. You will also oversee the coordination of humanitarian and development efforts, and represent the UN in high-level meetings and events.
Profile
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in international development, diplomacy, or related fields, with a strong understanding of the UN system. Proven leadership and coordination skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in complex and challenging environments. Fluency in English and French is required.
