ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Laboratory Site Lead is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and leadership of the laboratory services within Nyaho Medical Centre. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality operation of the laboratory by supervising and guiding a team of Biomedical Scientists at various ranks, including Senior Biomedical Scientists, Principal Biomedical Scientist, Deputy Chief Biomedical Scientists and Chief Biomedical Scientists.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or Medical Laboratory Science. Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science or Master’s degree in a relevant specialty (desirable). Strong knowledge of diagnostic techniques, quality assurance procedures, and health and safety protocols. Demonstrated management and supervisory experience. Proven ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills and familiarity with relevant software. Flexibility and a methodological approach to work. Initiative and the ability to influence others positively.
