Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Entry level Experience Length: 3 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 9 to 5 Applicant Location: Accra & Tema Region, Ghana Job descriptions & requirements Key Responsibilities Supervise laboratory technicians in performing routine and non-routine tests on petroleum products. Ensure all testing is carried out in accordance with ASTM, ISO, API, and internal methods. Review, verify, and approve laboratory test results and reports. Maintain quality control systems and ensure proper calibration of laboratory equipment. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of samples and chemicals. Monitor laboratory performance and ensure timely turnaround of results. Train and guide lab staff to maintain technical competency and compliance. Ensure strict adherence to HSE and laboratory safety procedures at all times. Liaise with operations and inspection teams regarding sample analysis and results. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in petroleum testing or oil & gas laboratory environment. Strong knowledge of ASTM, ISO, and API testing standards. Experience in supervising or leading a laboratory team is an advantage. Good analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset. Working Conditions Laboratory-based role. May require shift work depending on operational demand. Strict adherence to safety and chemical handling procedures.
