Guerite Controller (M/F)

Description of the mission The emergency controller is responsible for the concordance of data relating to incoming and outgoing movements at both terminals.

• 1. Receive lists of containers to be transferred from one terminal to another.
• 2. Track container transfers generated in N4 and remedial actions to resolve anomaly situations.

Education / Qualifications

• 3. Ensure verification and correction of information not collected by the TOS.
• 4. Follow the procedures.
• 5. Producing the various activity reports as well as the reports in a precise way to his superior while reporting any situations requiring action (OPS, HSE...).

• 4. Make suggestions to HSE teams for the improvement of Hygiene, Safety, Health and Environment.

Candidate profile

Academic training:

• Bac+2 to Bac+3 in Logistics, Transport, Port Management, Transit & Customs or Computer Science Applied to Logistics.
• Further training in logistics flow management and document control is a plus.

Experience

• 1 to 3 years experience in a similar position in port or logistics environment Know ‐Doing Technical:
• Control of access control procedures for trucks and containers (entry and exit).
• Knowledge of transport and import/export documents (billing, manifest, delivery notes).
• Use of computerized I/O management systems (TOS - Terminal Operating System, OCR, scanners).
• Identification and management of document anomalies (wrong container, lack of documents, incorrect customs status).
• Understanding of port security rules (IHSPR Code) and security protocols.
• Ability to check the condition of containers and report non-conformities (breakage, missing seals, etc.).
• Mastery of office tools (Excel, port management software). Know‐Doing relational:
• Rigor and vigilance to ensure accurate controls and avoid errors.
• Good communication with drivers, field agents and internal services.
• Ability to handle pressure and stress in a dynamic environment.
• Team spirit and collaboration with the other agents of the gatehouse and terminal.
• Sense of organization and speed of execution to avoid slowdowns in the flow of trucks.
• Strict compliance with terminal security instructions and procedures.
