Location: Durba, Haut Uele, DR Congo-Kinshasa Task in progress Job description RAK National Affairs Officer Kibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Senior National Affairs Officer to support the expansion of the ARK Project mine.

Responsibilities

Based in the country office at Kinshasa and reporting to the Country Manager, the Country Affairs Officer will ensure dedicated coordination between the ARK site team and the relevant government administrations. The position will support the preparation and filing of expansion files, monitor applications and authorizations, follow approvals, and coordinate technical responses to administrative requests. The incumbent will assist the Country Manager in government commitments related to ARK and work closely with project management and teams of specialists responsible for various administrative requests. The incumbent will perform his/her functions under the current country office structure, with corresponding functions continuing to confer technical validation and expertise responsibilities. The Holder shall enforce Barrick’s DNA and contribute in a safe, ethical and cost-effective manner, in accordance with the Company’s standards, policies and procedures. Tasks and responsibilities

Education / Qualifications

Serve as a daily coordination point between the ARK site team, country office and relevant government administrations. Kinshasa, ensuring that information, requests and follow-up actions are dealt with promptly. Coordinate the preparation and compilation of expansion files, applications and supporting documents, obtaining the necessary technical, legal, commercial and administrative contributions from the responsible teams. Verify the completeness of the file, consistency and preparation of the submission, ensuring that required internal reviews, signatures and supporting documents are obtained prior to filing. Prepare correspondence projects, cover letters, administrative notes and background documents for review and approval by the Country Manager and Project Manager as well as relevant in-house specialists. Submit approved files and applications to appropriate authorities, obtain deposit receipts or acknowledgements, and maintain a clear record of submission dates, reference numbers and responsible
