Apave Cameroon looking for a Junior Accountant Apave Cameroon is seeking, on behalf of one of its clients operating in the hotel sector, a (01) Junior Accountant.

Responsibilities

Under the responsibility and supervision of the Chief Financial and Accounting Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including the processing of vendor invoices, the recording and justification of accounts, as well as the monitoring of fixed assets, cash, cash and inventory. He will also participate in the preparation of tax and social declarations, analytical control of projects, budget execution monitoring and accounting closing operations, in accordance with OHADA standards and current regulations. Activities of the post Create and monitor accounts payable, verify compliance of invoices with the financial provisions of contracts and prepare rejection letters for non-compliant invoices. Check payment records for consistency, accuracy and completeness, then follow up on sureties, including holdbacks and bank guarantees, in collaboration with the Markets Department. Update financial dashboards, statements of follow-up of commitments and statements, as well as the nominative lists of suppliers, while ensuring the classification of accounting documents. Record transactions relating to state accounts and prepare tax returns, including VAT, IS, local taxes, advance payments and withholdings, for validation by the Head of the financial and accounting unit. Contribute to the establishment of the annual DSF, monitor the liquidation of taxes, and gather the necessary documents during tax audits. Verify the variable elements of remuneration transmitted by the HRD, and then record the salaries and corresponding social security contributions. Prepare social declarations with the CNPS as well as payroll deductions (IRPP, CAC, CFC and RAV). Make the reconciliation between payroll and accounting, then justify the accounts related to staff. Ensure the cost accounting of projects and control invoices related to them. Participate in the preparation of the financial balance sheet and the production of periodic reports on projects, particularly those relating to FF&E, special projects and reciprocal operations. Prepare budget monitoring statements, review discrepancies and alert the Head of the financial and accounting unit in case of overruns. Take part in the preparation of the provisional budget. Monitor bank account balances on a daily basis, monitor financial investments and establish monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring the regularization of outstanding transactions. Monitor, verify and record receipts and receipts. Contribute to the preparation of the cash flow plan and produce a weekly report on its execution and customer reminders. Monitor cash transactions, carry out periodic orders, carry out unannounced checks and draw up the corresponding minutes. Monitor inventory movements, monitor entries and exits, participate in physical inventories and reconcile results with accounting data. Ensure the quality of suppliers as well as the legal and fiscal compliance of the documents transmitted by the different issuing units.

Candidate profile

ÊHold a Baccalaureate+2 to Bac+3 in accounting, finance or management, including a BTS, a DUT or a license.

Experience

Justify a first professional experience of 1 to 2 years in accounting, internships included. Master office tools, especially Excel, including PivotTables, search formulas and financial reporting formatting. Knowledge of the hotel industry is an advantage. Well master the Office Pack, especially Excel. Knowledge of accounting software is an additional asset. Proficiency in English and French is an advantage.
