Required qualifications:

Education / Qualifications

• Êhold at least a university degree (Bac+3) in the social sciences, international relations, community development, political science, law, peace and conflict studies, humanitarian protection, psychology and education sciences, or in a relevant field.

Experience

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience in the implementation of projects for protection, social cohesion, peace building, conflict prevention or community development.
• Have practical experience in conflict prevention and management at the community level.
• Experience in facilitating community dialogues, training, awareness raising and peace promotion activities.
• Experience in conflict analysis, stakeholder mapping and/or identification of local conflict resolution mechanisms.
• Experience in protection programs, prevention of gender-based violence and/or inclusion is an asset.
• Experience working with local authorities, community leaders, civil society organizations and local community structures is an advantage.
• Experience in a humanitarian or development context République Democratic Republic of the Congo, particularly in South Kivu, would be an asset.
• Have experiences on Peace and Social Cohesion projects funded by institutional donors.
• Experience with a national or international NGO is an advantage. Technical skills:
• Good knowledge of protection principles and approaches, social cohesion, peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
• Good capacity to analyse conflict dynamics, actors, stressors and local peace mechanisms.
• Mastery of facilitation techniques for community dialogues, mediation, negotiation and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
• Skills in designing and facilitating training, workshops, awareness sessions and community events.
• Good knowledge of participatory and community approaches.
• Ability to map stakeholders and develop collaborative networks.
• Good understanding of the principles of protection, gender, inclusion, prevention of violence and accountability to affected populations.
• Ability to collect, analyze and document qualitative and quantitative data related to protection and peace activities.
• Good command of reporting and documentation tools.
• Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of digital data collection tools is an asset.
• Ability to work with different institutional, community and humanitarian actors.
• Ability to properly monitor the risks of conflicts related to project interventions.
• Know how to drive and ride motorcycles, especially in difficult terrain. Personal skills:
