Qualifications and experience

Education / Qualifications

• Êhold a university degree in mining engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, data analysis, information systems, system administration or data analysis, or a relevant related field.

Experience

• Demonstrate at least five (5) years of experience in mining operations, dispatch, fleet management, production control or a similar function.
• Ideally, candidates should have five (5) years of experience with Fleet Management Systems (FMS), with highly desirable Modular Mining/DISPATCH experience.
• Have a good experience in open pit mining environment and a good understanding of loading, transport and unloading processes.
• Demonstrate experience in supervising, mentoring or coordinating an operational team.
• Have a good understanding of mining production systems, equipment utilization and performance indicators.
• Ability to work in a remote and demanding mining environment subject to operational constraints.
• Good command of French is required; fluency in English is an asset. Technical skills
• Strong knowledge of Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and, ideally, Modular Mining DISPATCH.
• Good understanding of open pit mining operations and production flows.
• Mastery of the principles of fleet allocation and optimization.
• Good ability to analyze cycle times, equipment usage, delays, queues and production deviations.
• Ability to use operational data to identify constraints and propose improvements.
• Mastery of reporting systems and data analysis.
• Good understanding of GPS, radio, network and technological equipment used in Dispatch operations.
• Ability to produce and interpret production reports and performance indicators.
• Good knowledge of safety requirements applicable to mining operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis. Attitudes and behaviours
• Leadership and ability to mentor, coach and develop a team.
• Ability to remain calm, precise and decisive under pressure.
• Strong focus on safety, production and continuous improvement.
