Main duties

Lagardère Travel Retail Senegal is hiring a Manager for its Képar Café restaurant in Yéba. Main tasks: The assistant manager assists the restaurant manager in his various tasks by supervising and coordinating the activities of the restaurant. He is the guarantor of the image of the Képar Café. Customer Service . - The assistant manager must ensure customer satisfaction and a good quality of service within a reasonable time; - He must control the fluidity of the order taking and the speed of the service; - He must make sure to retain the customers as much as possible and carry out corrective actions facing customer feedback; - Operational in the field, the assistant manager is very present in the kitchen, at the counter and in the room if necessary to help his team members. Operational management: - The deputy manager manages the daily life of the restaurant in compliance with the standards of Lagardère Travel Retail; - He participates and ensures the application of the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant; - He is responsible for the correct application of quality indicators and the follow-up of corrective actions if necessary; - He enforces the hygiene and safety standards of Lagardere Travel Retail; - He ensures the proper use and the proper operation of the goods. Management of employees: - The human dimension in the job of a manager occupies an essential place; - He actively participates in the management of the workforce: he assists in the recruitment process of his multi-skilled team members, their integration and training; - He also organizes their performance evaluation interviews; - The assistant manager develops schedules, established in coherence with the productivity forecasts of the restaurant and the workflows of staff, and distributes the work between the staff. He is the guarantor of a good team spirit by motivating his teammates and sanctioning them if necessary.

Candidate profile

Profile Ideal for the position of Associate Manager of Catering Professional Experience:

Experience

• More than 3 years of experience in the management of restaurants or catering units, preferably in the Travel Retail sector or in transport zones.
• Experience in team supervision and day-to-day operations management.

Education / Qualifications

• Familiarity with health, safety and hygiene standards in the catering sector. Training:
• Bac +3 in hotel management, restaurant management or a related field. Technical Skills:
• Ability to manage day-to-day restaurant operations, including inventory, order and cost management.
• Financial management skills, with the ability to analyze performance reports and establish budgets.
• Marketing skills and promotion of catering services to maximize sales. Professional Qualities:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a motivating and engaging approach.
• Ability to work under pressure, respecting deadlines and operational requirements.
• Proactive attitude with strong customer focus and a keen sense of service. Psychological competences:
• Ability to resolve conflicts and be diplomatic in difficult situations.
• Open-mindedness and adaptability to change, especially in a dynamic environment like Travel Retail.
