Talentéo recruits a Transit/Customer Assistant Are you passionate about international trade, transit and customs procedures? Do you control import-export operations and work with precision, responsiveness and rigor? In an area where each part is crucial, each primary deadline and each error with serious consequences, we are looking for a professional able to ensure efficient follow-up of transit operations and to guarantee compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.

Other information

You will be at the center of import-export activities and collaborate with various actors in the supply chain: customs administrations, carriers, logistics partners, official bodies and other stakeholders.

Main duties

• Complete customs formalities relating to import and export operations;
• Develop, verify and control customs declaration records;
• Coordinate operations with logistics partners and carriers;
• Track shipments and all required documents;
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative compliance obligations;
• Identify and manage possible complaints, anomalies and blockages related to transit operations;
• Monitor and maintain a database of applicable standards, procedures and regulations;
• Contribute to the improvement and optimization of customs compliance processes.

Candidate profile

You are a professional who is organized, reactive, methodical and able to work under pressure. You ideally justify:

• A Bac+3 in Logistics, International Trade, Transit-Customs or related field;

Experience

• 2 to 3 years minimum experience in customs, transit or international logistics;
• Good knowledge of the Cameroonian and regional Customs Code;
• Good command of computer tools, including Excel and customs management software;
• An excellent relationship with customs and official bodies;
• Strong ability to handle emergencies, contingencies and tight deadlines;
• Practical English, both orally and professionally;
