Workshop Foreman Budget Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Foreman to support our expanding team, which focuses on the maintenance and repair of Volvo, Scania, and Thornton (Cummins) trucks and buses. Key Responsibilities Experienced professionals are sought to oversee the mechanics and workshop personnel, guaranteeing seamless and efficient daily operations. Plan and oversee all servicing, repair, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems. Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and verify that repairs are executed accurately and punctually. Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and spare parts in optimal condition through proper usage, regular maintenance, and careful storage. Maintain meticulous documentation of repair activities, service records, and scheduled maintenance to ensure comprehensive tracking and compliance. Summarize critical mechanical issues and necessary maintenance tasks for review by senior management. Requirements Earned a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification. A relevant qualification or diploma in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering is required. At least 3-5 years’ Demonstrated expertise in heavy-duty vehicle workshop operations, coupled with a proven track record in supervisory roles. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles and vehicle maintenance Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet maintenance deadlines Valid driver’s license, preferably with experience driving heavy vehicles
