Responsabilités

About the Project This research initiative focuses on assessing the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and its implications, particularly as the leading cause of cervical cancer, which accounts for over 80% of cases in low- and middle-income countries (Mics). The World Health Organization (WHO) advocates for HPV vaccination among adolescent girls aged 9 to 14 to mitigate transmission. In Zambia, HPV vaccination was integrated into the national immunization program in 2019, with the vaccine currently administered to 9-year-old girls on a single-dose schedule. Despite these efforts, empirical evaluations of pulse vaccination’s effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility remain lacking. This study aims to bridge this gap by examining HPV pulse vaccination in Zambia, in collaboration with the national immunization program and international partners. The national program will oversee the implementation of the intervention, including vaccine delivery, while the research team will evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, effectiveness, costs, and cost-effectiveness of pulse vaccination, documenting the entire process under the HPV Pulse Zambia initiative. The primary goal of this project is to assess the impact of HPV pulse vaccination on vaccination coverage. Additionally, the study seeks to achieve several secondary objectives. Evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of HPV pulse vaccination strategies, assess the incremental costs associated with delivery and cost-effectiveness, and quantify the potential health outcomes and economic impact using empirical data integrated with epidemiological modeling (HPV sim). Additionally, compile and document key insights and lessons learned from the implementation process. About the Position As a Field Officer, you will operate under the guidance of the Senior Field Manager while adhering to Innovations for Poverty Action-Zambia’s established policies. Your primary responsibility will involve ensuring the collection of accurate and high-quality data. The attached document outlines a selection of your general duties and responsibilities, which may be executed as deemed necessary by the Field Managers and Research Associate. The incumbent is responsible for conducting real-time verification to ensure completeness and consistency, promptly identifying discrepancies or omitted entries. Any errors detected must be corrected or documented immediately prior to submission. Oversee the coordination of field logistics and equipment management to ensure seamless operations and optimal resource utilization. To ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of tablets, chargers, and study materials, the role involves verifying that all devices are fully charged and operational on a daily basis, as well as addressing any basic technical issues that may arise on-site. Attend daily debriefing sessions and provide comprehensive field reports. • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
