CMU-Africa seeks a seasoned, analytical, and mission-driven Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist to enhance the institution’s capacity to measure, analyze, and amplify its impact. In this collaborative role, the MEL Specialist will partner with CMU-Africa’s academic, research, and program teams—as well as external collaborators—to design and implement robust MEL systems that track progress, assess outcomes, generate actionable insights, and foster a culture of continuous learning. This position demands a blend of technical expertise in evaluation and strategic support, including funding partner reporting, capacity strengthening, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will excel at translating complex evidence into clear, practical recommendations, facilitating meaningful learning conversations, and engaging stakeholders across diverse institutions and cultural contexts to drive programmatic and institutional improvement. Responsibilities As a strategic MEL partner, the Specialist will collaborate with CMU-Africa leadership, program teams, and partner institutions to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks across educational, research, and sponsored initiatives. This includes providing expert guidance on theories of change, results frameworks, indicator development, measurement methodologies, and compliance with reporting standards.
