CMU-Africa is actively seeking a seasoned Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist—an analytical and mission-driven professional—to enhance the institution’s capacity to systematically assess, interpret, and amplify its impact. In this pivotal role, the MEL Specialist will collaborate closely with program leaders, faculty, staff, and partner institutions to design and implement robust monitoring systems, conduct evaluations, generate evidence, and cultivate a culture of continuous organizational learning. This position demands a collaborative approach, integrating evaluation methodologies, learning initiatives, capacity development, donor reporting, and data-driven strategic guidance. The successful incumbent will ensure that evidence is not only systematically gathered but also strategically leveraged to refine programs, guide leadership decisions, uphold accountability, and amplify institutional influence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in facilitating critical learning discussions, leading evaluation efforts, advising teams on measurement strategies, translating complex findings into practical insights, and engaging stakeholders across diverse institutions and cultural contexts.
