Our client, a leading heavy equipment dealer supporting major mining operations, is seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to oversee the operational activities of the Service Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) operations, Field Service activities, service administration, warranties, planned component replacement programs, service development and mining site contracts, while ensuring effective team development and high standards of service delivery. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all operational activities within the Service Department. Manage Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) operations and component rebuild activities. Oversee Field Service operations and technical support to customer sites. Manage Service Department administration, processes and reporting. Oversee warranty management and related service processes. Drive the development and growth of service activities. Manage Planned Component Replacement (PCR) programs.
Develop technical competencies within the Service team through coaching, mentoring and skills development. Lead and manage Service personnel to ensure effective operational performance. Oversee service and maintenance contracts across mining sites. Ensure effective coordination between workshop, field service, administration and customer-facing teams. Promote high standards of service delivery, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements : Qualification and Skill Relevant technical, mechanical or engineering qualification.
- 10+ years’ experience within heavy equipment service, maintenance or aftersales operations. Previous experience managing service operations within an OEM or heavy equipment dealer environment. Experience within the mining and heavy mobile equipment sector. Strong understanding of component rebuild operations and Field Service activities. Experience with warranties and Planned Component Replacement (PCR) programs. Experience managing service or maintenance contracts on mining sites. Proven leadership and people management experience. Strong skills in team development, coaching and technical competency development. Excellent planning, organisational, customer engagement and operational management skills. French language skills advantageous.
