Specialist; MIS & ESS Monitoring (1 Position(s)) Job Location : Head Office Job Purpose: This position is tasked with maintaining the accuracy, accessibility, and optimal use of business data while proactively detecting performance discrepancies. It involves monitoring Employee Self Service (ESS) productivity and implementing targeted improvements to drive operational excellence and business growth. Main Responsibilities: Direct the creation, refinement, and administration of the Personal Banking Management Information Systems (MIS) framework, ensuring the delivery of timely, precise, and strategic Management Information. As the designated departmental steward of Management Information Systems (MIS), you will uphold the integrity, consistency, and precision of data across all Personal Banking business units. Responsible for overseeing the complete monitoring lifecycle of the ESS platform, this role involves tracking key performance indicators such as application volumes, processing durations, conversion efficiency, user output, system resource usage, and potential operational inefficiencies. Analyze performance trends within the Energy Support Services (ESS) sector to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, sales productivity, and portfolio growth, subsequently recommending targeted initiatives to drive these improvements. Design and construct dynamic, user-friendly dashboards and performance scorecards tailored to the needs of the Head of Personal Banking, Senior Managers, Relationship Managers, and other key stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making and strategic oversight.
- Produce business performance reports Perform sophisticated business analytics to uncover potential growth avenues, emerging risks, business trends, and avenues for revenue enhancement. Monitor customer retention rates, portfolio migration trends, product utilization metrics, and behavioral patterns to devise proactive strategies aimed at enhancing customer retention and driving portfolio growth. Develop advanced predictive analytics and performance modeling solutions to enhance business planning initiatives, evaluate campaign efficacy, and refine sales forecasting accuracy.
- Facilitate strategic planning efforts by delivering comprehensive business intelligence, actionable market insights, detailed portfolio analysis, and accurate forecasting to enhance decision-making processes across departments. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to enhance ESS performance and strengthen overall business delivery. Monitor the performance of Relationship Managers, DSS, Mortgage teams, Parastatal teams, and other sales channels by utilizing performance dashboards and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Perform comprehensive root cause assessments to identify the underlying issues affecting product performance, regional outcomes, branch operations, or scheme effectiveness, and subsequently propose strategic business enhancement initiatives.
Deliver analytical assistance for product introductions, marketing initiatives, business assessments, and key strategic initiatives Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory mandates, and data governance frameworks throughout the handling and distribution of business information. Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of Personal Banking products Demonstrates a deep comprehension of Employee Self Service (ESS) processes and the loan origination workflow.
- Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, encompassing capabilities such as Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex formula applications. Proven expertise in leveraging Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence solutions is required. Proficiency in SQL or alternative data extraction utilities is required for this role. Skilled in effectively presenting and conveying insights through data-driven narratives.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. Proficient in distilling complex data sets into strategic, business-oriented insights that drive informed decision-making. Demonstrates a keen commercial mindset and a thorough grasp of the key performance indicators that drive success in Retail Banking. Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast dedication to ensuring data precision throughout all tasks. Qualifications and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Project Management, or Banking would provide a significant advantage in this role. A master’s degree in business studies would be advantageous. With a minimum of three years of experience in business analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), business intelligence, performance management, or retail banking analytics, you will be a strong candidate for this role. Experienced professionals in developing interactive dashboards through tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or comparable data visualization platforms are encouraged to apply.
