Job Type: Full Time, Onsite

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND, Professional Certificate

Job Field: ICT / Computer

Job Objective:

The Change Control Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end Change Management lifecycle, ensuring that all changes are properly reviewed, approved, scheduled and implemented in accordance with established change processes and governance requirements. The role involves analysing service impact, evaluating risks, facilitating stakeholder engagement and coordinating change activities to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the telecoms industry, with a solid understanding of Change Management processes, risk assessment and the management of both internal and external network changes.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate Change Management meetings, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) and operational review meetings, while providing guidance and support to stakeholders on change-related matters.

Review and validate change requests from internal teams, suppliers and clients to ensure completeness, accuracy, alignment with business objectives and compliance with Change Management standards. Assess service impact, risks and benefits, while ensuring that appropriate approvals are obtained.

Coordinate the planning, scheduling, communication and execution of changes throughout the Change Management lifecycle, ensuring effective stakeholder alignment, resource availability and successful implementation.

Act as the primary interface between clients, suppliers and internal technical teams for planned and emergency activities, ensuring timely communication and high levels of client satisfaction.

Manage multiple concurrent changes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring minimal service disruption and providing flexibility to support out-of-hours and weekend activities when required.

Maintain accurate change records, support audits and data-quality initiatives, prepare reports and promptly escalate risks, issues and exceptions to the Change Manager as required.

Drive continuous improvement within Change Management by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, strengthen governance and promote proactive risk management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or an equivalent qualification gained through relevant work experience.

Professional certifications such as CCMP, CCNA/JNCIA, ITIL, Project Management or related certifications accredited by a recognised body.

Required Skills:

A minimum of 3 years in telecom, focusing on Change Management or similar roles, suggesting familiarity with industry-specific change management processes and workflows.

Knowledge of key telecom technologies and platforms, including Fibre, DWDM, OTN, SDH, and networking technologies like Ethernet and IP/MPLS, indicating a solid foundation in telecom infrastructure.

Expert knowledge in at least one CRM system, with a preference for experience in NetSuite. This points to familiarity with client relationship management software to enhance customer service and business operations.

Strong communications and soft skills are emphasized, particularly the ability to listen effectively, synthesize information, and communicate it concisely with clients.

Demonstrated capability in managing multiple priorities and addressing challenges in a fast-paced environment, essential for handling the dynamic demands of telecom projects.

Strong relationship builder with client focus, integrity, and honesty.

Decisiveness, confidence, and strategic thinking, with excellent change analysis skills for navigating complex situations and making sound decisions.

Excellent communicator in English with a natural ability for engaging with people and a willingness to handle a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends when needed.

Expert Application Advice

When applying to West Indian Ocean Cable Company (WIOCC), clearly show how you’ve met ITIL with a concrete example from your past work—numbers or results add impact. This proves you understand their needs, not just your ambitions.

Targeted application — Align your CV to this offer's exact keywords and back every claimed skill with a concrete example. A cover letter showing you understand the specific challenges of this role consistently makes the difference.

  • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
