About the role Cherry Hills International School is in search of a meticulous, reliable, and motivated School Librarian to oversee the library’s operations and foster a vibrant culture of reading and academic growth. The ideal candidate will preserve library resources and records, support learners and educators in locating suitable materials, and uphold the library’s organizational standards. Key responsibilities Oversee the daily administration and functionality of the school library, ensuring efficient management and smooth operations. Oversee the organization, upkeep, and accurate documentation of books, learning materials, borrowing logs, and inventory records. Provide support to learners and educators in locating suitable books and resources. Enhance literacy engagement by organizing and leading a variety of library programs and reading-focused campaigns designed to foster a love for books and learning. What we are looking for Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in organizational management, professional communication, and meticulous record-keeping. Proficient in computer applications and possesses a meticulous approach to tasks. Proven capability to engage with children in a composed and patient manner. Accomplished professional with a strong sense of reliability and the capacity to operate autonomously. Professional rewriting of the paragraph: Familiarity with school or library settings is beneficial. Qualifications Diploma in Library Science, Information Science, or Information Management is required. Proficiency in library management, whether through professional experience or hands-on practice, is highly beneficial.
