PURPOSE STATEMENT: To uphold standardized workshop procedures and maintain efficient vehicle service schedules according to OEM specifications. Additionally, ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulatory requirements within the workshop environment. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Daily attendance updates are provided to workshop staff each morning and evening, with absenteeism, offs, overtime, permissions, and leave taken promptly reported to HR. Oversee the automated system controlling vehicle entry and exit within the workshop premises. The incumbent is responsible for verifying that job requests entered under the general checkup category for both trailers and horses are accurately reflected and aligned within the Mas truck system. Ensures accurate logging and entry of all driver complaints—whether initiated by the driver or identified by the workshop supervisor—into the system. Ensures the accurate recording of task logs and job allocations within the Mas truck system. You will oversee downtime activities, including greasing, diagnostic checks, and fabrication tasks. Manages and verifies that all parts requisitions entered into the Mas truck system receive proper approval from both the workshop manager and supervisor. The workshop supervisor and manager must jointly verify spare parts prior to replacement to ensure strict cost control measures are upheld. Ensures strict adherence to the complete service schedule, meticulously following each procedural step and all workshop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 10. Ensures the Ensure all job cards are thoroughly verified before closure to confirm that driver-reported complaints and general inspection findings have been addressed, with drivers signing off upon completion of service. Monitor all scheduled truck and trailer maintenance to ensure timely and compliant completion in accordance with established maintenance programs. We facilitate the evaluation of mechanics and performance reports to pinpoint strengths and areas for improvement. KPIs Warranty replacement requests and follow-up actions shall be managed promptly and thoroughly. All such requests must be documented accurately, and subsequent follow-ups shall ensure timely resolution while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders. Ensure strict adherence to SHE guidelines to maintain workshop safety, thereby mitigating risks of accidents, injuries, and property damage. Ensure that all company ISO standards, regulations, and procedures are strictly adhered to and implemented in full. He is expected to complete any additional duties and responsibilities delegated by management as needed. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 1. Highly organized Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Proficient in maintenance repair methodologies, techniques, and replacement procedures. Proficiency in utilizing an automated Fleet Management Information System is required. Experienced professionals must demonstrate a thorough understanding of safety protocols and mechanical best practices to mitigate risks effectively. Individuals should possess extensive expertise in diesel engine mechanics, a comprehensive understanding of truck configurations, and a strong familiarity with parts suppliers. Demonstrated capacity to effectively plan, coordinate, and supervise tasks carried out by a diverse workforce—including skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled personnel—involved in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance operations. Proficient in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues with trucks efficiently and effectively. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to foster productive, professional relationships with colleagues and team members. Proven capability in program coordination, report preparation, and record management.
