JOB SUMMARY

Conducting campaigns and health awareness through visits to homes and public places.

Responsabilités

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The SBC educator has the following responsibilities and duties:

    1. Conducting ongoing awareness campaigns, both at the center and in public facilities such as schools and community gathering places.
    1. Serve as a link between the beneficiary and the services available at the center.
    1. Performs sensitivity assessments and identifies cases in need according to predetermined criteria. The focus will be on changing community behavior through a thorough assessment of cases and tailoring messages to suit each individual situation.
    1. Manages cases, including maintaining faithful to protocols on privacy and individual leave.
    1. Makes internal and external referrals of cases, updates feedback and referral forms,

Formation / Diplômes

    1. Updates case files with the help of the health Officer and ensures that the information is secured.
    1. To carry out preventive healthcare and guidance activities on reproductive health, newborn and child nutrition, early diagnosis of breast cancer, personal and home hygiene, tooth cleaning and vaccination.
    1. Advises and guides cases and community groups on issues related to diagnosis screening, such as cancer screening, pap smear, glaucoma tests, and diabetes screening.

    1. To provide informative training for pregnant women and children.
    1. To perform family planning services, health and hygiene incentives, screening of infectious diseases, carrying out health education activities, collecting statistics and health care referrals at the same time.
    1. To meet basic needs such as first aid.
    1. Visiting service providers to ensure that the intervention, information, and referral activities on community health are carried out effectively,
    1. To make weekly and monthly reports on the activities, interventions, orientation, and mapping activities performed.

Should have the following skills, education, and experience:

    1. Formal university or diploma degree.

Expérience

    1. Knowledge and/or work experience in community health development preferable.
    1. Able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
    1. Experience as a team member of working in community health or nutrition or other related health-related intervention.
    1. Knowledge of Microsoft office with a good command of Microsoft Excel.
    1. Strong leadership and coordination skills.
    1. Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
    1. Previous NGO experience in a similar context is a plus.
