Responsabilités
As a Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Inspector for Simba Cement, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations. Your duties will include conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks. Additionally, you will monitor workplace conditions to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety among employees. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of industry standards are essential for this role. Position Areas of responsibility — Reports to SHE Manager Specific knowledge Due date 7/31/2026 12:00 AM Main duties Deliver skilled and proactive support in administering the company’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) programs, practices, policies, and standards to ensure the achievement of established SHE objectives.
- Implementing NOSA and ISO systems. To maintain optimal cleanliness and organization, the individual will be required to be present on-site at the facility on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to high housekeeping standards throughout operations. Demonstrate commitment to SHE principles by exemplifying best practices and conducting training sessions to foster a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
- Conduct daily inspections within the plant.
- Attend monthly departmental SHE meetings. Prepare daily inspection reports, gather data for monthly reports, compile and submit SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) follow-up reports, and document any unsafe acts or conditions as necessary. Execute daily SHE-related activities within your designated responsibilities.
Monitor SHE non-conformances, ensure timely reporting, and follow up to implement corrections. Daily permit inspections are conducted to verify compliance with established procedures, ensuring all work permits meet required standards. Assist in ensuring adherence to the country’s relevant statutory requirements and monitor any modifications to these regulations. Conduct thorough assessments of the organization’s facilities and programs to gauge operational efficiency and ensure adherence to SHE regulations and standards. Assist in conducting SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) investigations and contribute to the formulation of recommendations. Actively engage in the planning and implementation of emergency evacuation drills to ensure preparedness and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations in accordance with both company policies and legal mandates.
- Observe relevant environmental policies and regulations. Ensures adherence to the HM Group Code of Business Conduct, as well as all relevant compliance policies and guidelines. Carry out any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor. Minimum requirements (Qualifications) A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health and environment; occupational health and safety; disaster and safety management; industrial safety and risk management; process safety engineering (mechanical, civil, industrial); or a closely related discipline is required.
- Certification in NEBOSH/SAMTRAC/NOSHC/NOSA or its equivalent.
- Proficiency in implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and general Environmental Management Systems (EMS) standards is required.
Expérience
- Demonstrated proficiency with NOSA systems and other safety management frameworks. Requires a minimum of three years of dedicated experience within the SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) domain. Experienced with OSHA standards and environmental regulatory mandates. Proficient in overseeing and coordinating internal audits, site inspections, and induction programs seamlessly. Proficient in executing work permits, conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and performing detailed Job Hazard Analysis with expertise. Capable of creating and implementing comprehensive safety training programs.
