Archivist Intern We invite qualified candidates to contribute to our organization by becoming part of our dynamic team, where you will acquire practical expertise in the specialized fields of records and archives management. Key Responsibilities The selected individual will provide assistance to the Records Management team by: We support the organization, classification, indexing, cataloguing, and archiving of both physical and electronic records. Maintaining client records in compliance with established records management standards and procedures, including organizing, filing, and retrieving documents as needed. I facilitate document digitization initiatives by performing scanning, indexing, quality assurance, and electronic records management tasks. In accordance with established retention schedules, archival records are organized, prepared, and processed for storage, retention, transfer, or secure disposal. Maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of client data and corporate records is a critical responsibility of this role. The incumbent will support the execution of records retention and disposal policies. Assisting clients with retrieving documents and tracking records as requested. Maintaining precise records in databases and inventory systems. Engaging in ongoing enhancement projects focused on optimizing records management procedures. Other duties may be assigned by the Records Manager as needed. Minimum Qualifications Grade 12 School Certificate A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Library and Information Science, Records and Archives Management, Information Management, Information Science, or a related field is required. Qualified applicants who have recently completed their academic programs are welcome to submit their applications. Knowledge & Skills The preferred candidate will exhibit: Possesses foundational understanding of records and archives management principles. Proficiency in records lifecycle management and document control practices is essential. Proficiency in electronic document management systems (EDS) is considered a valuable asset.
