This position plays a pivotal role in reinforcing MHB’s internal control framework by implementing branch oversight, coordinating operational activities, and maintaining high-quality standards across both branch and Head Office levels. It ensures strict compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and established operational procedures. By identifying control deficiencies, proposing corrective measures, and fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness, the role significantly contributes to enhancing the integrity and efficiency of Branches and Central Operations. SUMMARY OF THE KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct a comprehensive assessment of every section outlined in the Branch & HQ Control Check List, then submit a detailed report to the Head of Operations & Service Excellence. Conduct a daily examination of branch general ledger accounts to identify and document any discrepancies, then collaborate with the relevant units or branches to resolve these exceptions in the general ledger. Ensure timely submission of all regulatory and authority returns originating from the Operations Department, following up diligently to meet deadlines. Conducting daily assessments of Vault and ATM positions and limits to ensure adherence to established parameters and mitigate potential risks. Conduct on-site inspections at branches, as needed, to verify compliance with established internal controls and procedural standards. Conduct a daily examination of key branch compliance reports ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. Follow up on and oversee all reconciliations within the Operations Department to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate closely with the Risk and Compliance department to address statutory and regulatory compliance requirements pertinent to Branch and Head Office Operations.
Ensure thorough follow-up and closure of all Risk & Compliance, as well as Audit issues pertaining to Branch and Head Office Operations. Review onboarding activities at branch locations to verify their adherence to established internal procedures and manuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Report any discrepancies during the onboarding process and conduct necessary follow-ups to ensure all identified exceptions are resolved in a timely manner. Any additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager, Head of Operations, or Management.
