Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsabilités

• We are responsible for upholding compliance with Zambian occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation, in addition to adhering to CC ECC’s HSE policies, procedures, and standards. Performing comprehensive hazard identification, executing detailed risk assessments, and carrying out routine safety inspections across designated sites are core duties of this role. Responsibilities include compiling, verifying, and finalizing HSE reports, records, and project documentation prior to submission. Developing, executing, and enhancing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, policies, and management frameworks. Facilitates safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and HSE training sessions for employees and subcontractors. Conduct thorough examinations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, followed by the formulation and proposal of suitable corrective and preventive measures. Responsibilities include overseeing environmental protection initiatives and verifying adherence to established environmental management plans. Fostering a robust safety culture throughout all project activities is essential. Developing and overseeing emergency preparedness and response strategies is a key responsibility. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing initiatives to ensure readiness and effective action during crises. Collaborating efficiently with project management teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and applicable regulatory authorities to uphold and enhance HSE performance standards. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must possess: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following fields: o Environmental Engineering o Safety Engineering o Civil Engineering As a dedicated professional in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), you will play a pivotal role in fostering a secure and compliant work environment. Your primary responsibility involves identifying potential workplace hazards, conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and implementing robust safety protocols to mitigate risks. Environmental Science or a closely related discipline constitutes the minimum educational prerequisite for this role.
