Key Purpose
This position is responsible for providing strategic direction to the Engineering and Utilities functions within the Maltings facility, guaranteeing operational reliability across all process areas (Plant LEF). Key responsibilities include overseeing the Environmental plant equipment effectiveness and ensuring the maintenance of process systems and control health. Additionally, the role will spearhead strategic initiatives within the Maltings Plant, upholding Corporate Governance standards for equipment and system integrity by implementing and adhering to relevant regulations and legislation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain safe healthy and risk-free working environment. Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation to maintain regulatory compliance and foster a secure workplace environment.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards. Manage Human Resources through targeted Organizational Performance Review (OR) sessions, we identify developmental needs and design customized programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate.
Manage technical pipeline for key roles. Oversee the design, coordination, and execution of apprenticeship and artisan development programs at the site, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards.
Ensure manufacturing systems and instrumentation integrity. Maintain system integrity and change control. Maintain and calibrate site instrumentation. Ensure engineering standards compliance.

Ensure application documented standards. Develop and refine engineering standards utilizing ZBS Maintenance as well as Energy & Fluids systems to ensure adherence to current best practices and regulatory requirements.
Reporting: Diagnose operational inefficiencies within the business and partner with specialized teams to develop cohesive, customized HR interventions that enhance both team and individual performance. Offer constructive feedback to specialized teams regarding the efficacy of HR solutions, collaborating as needed to pinpoint avenues for ongoing enhancement. We gather and analyze organizational performance metrics to generate key data points for the people and organizational scorecard, ensuring accurate insights are available for strategic decision-making.
Employee Engagement: Review Employee Engagement survey feedback and other relevant data sources, such as exit interviews and KPI scorecards, to identify key factors influencing engagement levels. Craft and execute targeted strategies designed to enhance and sustain user or stakeholder engagement effectively.
VPO: Drive the comprehensive People Pillar Vision, Purpose, and Objectives agenda throughout the plant’s operations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree of Science in (Mechanical/Electrical). A Master’s degree in a related field is highly desirable. With a minimum of two to three years of demonstrated leadership in managerial capacities within a technical service department.
Formation / Diplômes
Candidates must possess a minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
