Malawi Housing Corporation (MHC), the leading provider of housing and related services in Malawi, was established under the Malawi Housing Act of 1964 (Cap. 32:02). We are currently seeking skilled and experienced professionals to fill critical roles within our organization. Position: Maintenance Clerk Location: Regional Offices (South and East) Grade: HC 12 Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor / Regional Manager Key Responsibilities: Compile and process reports submitted by tenants, initiating job cards for necessary Tradesman interventions. Reconcile job cards and requisition materials for various units within the section. Process material requisitions submitted by Tradesmen following their assessments. Prepare monthly timesheets and overtime documentation for temporary employees. Conduct on-site inspections of completed work by Tradesmen prior to handover to supervisors or payment processing. Type and format maintenance-related documents. Organize and file section documents systematically. Prepare and submit regular progress reports as required. Minimum Qualifications: Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with a City and Guilds Grade 1 Certificate, or a diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Required Experience: At least two years of relevant professional experience. Key Competencies: In-depth understanding of maintenance operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate initiative.
