Job Context: As a Credit Officer for salary loans, you will be responsible for the evaluation, verification, and processing of unsecured loans intended for employees. You will assess creditworthiness, ensure compliance with lending policies, and manage client loan portfolios to maintain a healthy repayment rate and low default level.
Responsibilities:
Loan Origination: Market salary loan products, guide applicants through the application process, and ensure all required documents (pay slips, employment contracts, bank statements) are provided.
Credit Assessment: Evaluate applicants' creditworthiness by calculating debt-to-income ratios and verifying employment details with employers or HR departments.
Risk Management: Conduct background checks, including Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) screenings, to assess current indebtedness and minimize defaults.
Portfolio Management: Monitor active loans, track monthly repayments, and proactively follow up with clients to prevent late payments.
Reporting: Prepare regular credit assessment reports for branch management or the credit committee, ensuring all loans comply with statutory and organizational guidelines.Desired Profile:
Minimum diploma required.
Experience level: Mid level (1 year of experience).
Language: English.
Salary: USh 500,000 - 1,000,000, plus commission.
