Business Development and Events Manager
VM Consult Limited is recruiting a Business Development and Events Manager to drive its growth strategy. This position, based in the Accra and Tema region of Ghana, is a full-time contract (8am-5pm) intended for a mid-level professional with at least 4 years of experience. Proficiency in English is required.
Job Context
The Business Development and Events Manager will be responsible for boosting VM Consult's growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing client and partner relationships, and leading the design and execution of marketing campaigns and corporate events. This role is suitable for a creative and business-oriented professional capable of combining strategic relationship development with operational execution in marketing and events.
Main Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and client accounts. Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to strengthen VM Consult's brand and market presence. Plan and deliver corporate events, strategic meetings, and client appointments end-to-end. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and strategic partners. Manage event budgets, supplier contracts, and logistics for all programs and events. Track the business development pipeline, marketing performance, and event outcomes, and report regularly to management. Represent VM Consult at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings. Liaise with the GOLDCard Group for co-branded initiatives, resources, and cross-cutting opportunities.
Desired Profile
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, or a related field. 4 to 6 years of experience in business development, marketing, or event management. Strong experience in client relationship development and new contract acquisition. Hands-on experience in planning and executing corporate events or strategic meetings. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Creative, results-oriented mindset with a strong attention to brand and detail. Proficiency in MS Office and marketing/CRM tools. A master's degree in a related discipline will be an additional asset.
