Trainer - Computing & Informatics Department Contract Type: Full-time Qualification: Bachelor's Degree, Bac+4 or equivalent Location: Siaya Sector: Education / Training, ICT / Computing

Desired Profile For this position, the candidate must:

• Hold a degree in one of the following disciplines: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Communication Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
• Have training in Competency-Based Education (CBET). A candidate with pedagogy and TVETA registration/license will have an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated competence in ICT teaching, practical training, and learner assessment.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Be reliable and of high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training in areas of specialization according to the curriculum.
• Prepare teaching materials and schemes of work.
• Develop and mark examinations/assignments.
• Supervise industrial attachment trainees.
• Instruct, guide, and assess trainees during practical exercises.
• Report on the progress and overall performance of each trainee.
• Participate in curriculum development.
• Conduct research under the guidance of a senior trainer.
• Deliver competency-based training in ICT.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials.
• Maintain training records and workshop/laboratory equipment.

ICT Trainer (Diploma Holder) Contract Type: Contract Qualification: Diploma Location: Siaya Sector: Education / Training, ICT / Computing

Desired Profile For this position, the candidate must:

• Hold a Diploma in Information Communication Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A candidate with pedagogy and TVETA registration/license will have an added advantage.
• A candidate skilled in co-curricular activities complementing classroom learning (e.g., drama) will have an added advantage.
• Demonstrated practical skills in ICT training and laboratory/workshop management.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support competency-based practical training.
• Prepare and maintain ICT laboratories and training equipment.
• Assist in learner assessment and supervision during practical sessions.
• Maintain training and equipment records.
• Support curriculum implementation and departmental activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the institution.
