Job Summary: The HR Associate provides administrative and operational support to the human resources department. The role assists in recruitment, onboarding, employee record keeping, HR compliance, and general employee support to ensure smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating feedback.
- Support onboarding of new employees, including document collection, orientation, and induction arrangements.
- Maintain employee records and HR files, both physical and digital.
- Prepare and issue HR letters, contracts, confirmations, warnings, and other employee correspondence as instructed.
- Respond to basic HR queries from employees professionally and confidentially.
- Support attendance tracking, leave management, and benefits-related processes.
- Assist in organizing training sessions, employee engagement activities, and HR meetings.
- Help ensure compliance with company HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
- Support offboarding processes, including coordinating exit interviews and file closure.Additional Responsibilities: Perform other HR and administrative tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile:
Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
At least 2 to 4 years of relevant HR or administrative experience.
Good knowledge of Kenyan labor law and HR best practices.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
Knowledge of HR information systems will be an added advantage.
Membership or progress toward membership with IHRM is an added advantage.Required Skills:
