Role Objective
The key expert will lead the overall management and implementation of the Boost Africa Technical Assistance Facility, acting as the primary interface with the EIB and ensuring the quality, compliance, and relevance of services provided across the portfolio.
Desired Profile
Education / Degrees
Master's degree or equivalent in business, economics, law, science, or engineering.
Proficiency in English and good working knowledge of French.
- 10 years of international experience required, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in investment, finance, organizational development, private sector/business development, or SME growth strategies in developing countries.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in providing technical assistance and business development support to early-stage companies (start-ups and SMEs).
- 5 years of professional experience working with and/or managing technical assistance development projects funded by IFIs/donors (e.g., EIB, EBRD, WB, AfDB, AFD, EC, etc.), including activities with Team Europe.Experience in capacity building and business development for SMEs in developing countries is an asset.
Experience in venture capital fund management and development is an asset.
Preference for candidates based in the country.
