What this role involves
You will travel daily within Jinja and Iganga districts to visit clients who have fallen behind on loan payments. Your mission is to understand their situation, negotiate realistic repayment plans, and recover outstanding amounts while maintaining the bank’s relationship with the community. Expect field work, direct client interaction, and detailed reporting on each case.
Key skills to highlight
Proven ability to handle difficult conversations with empathy and firmness. Strong knowledge of local languages (Lusoga, Luganda) and terrain in Eastern Uganda. Experience in microfinance or debt collection, plus basic numeracy for calculating repayment schedules. A valid motorcycle license is a major advantage.
