BEETLE HERITAGE HOLDING S.A. Recruiting an Heavy Weight Driver for his website of Douala, Cameroon.

Background The holder ensures the safe transport of people (bus/coach) – Permit D) and/or goods with articulated vehicle or heavy trailer (Permit E), in strict compliance with road regulations, deadlines and the quality and safety standards of Africa Food Manufacture.

Main duties Driving and transport: driving public transport vehicles (buses, coaches) – Permit D) and/or articulated assemblies with heavy trailer (Permit D)+E or C+E) according to the assignments; ensure the transport of personnel, customers or goods according to the routes and schedules defined; scrupulously respect the code of the road, speed limits, driving times and regulatory rest; carry out the operations of loading and unloading safely, ensuring the correct stowage of the goods; ensure the punctuality of departures and arrivals in accordance with the established schedules; adapt its conduct to the weather conditions and the state of the roads.

Vehicle maintenance and follow-up: carry out daily checks of the vehicle before departure (levels, lighting, tyres, brakes, trailer coupling, etc.); report immediately any technical anomalies, breakdown or incident to the transport manager; ensure the interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle; monitor preventive maintenance deadlines and make sure that the vehicle is presented in time to the garage for overhauls; manage the logbook, the fuel consumption record and mileage.

Document and administrative management: keep all mandatory on-board documents (car letter, delivery note, tachograph disc / digital tachograph); ensure the validity of his driving license (D&E), medical examination and all regulatory documents of the vehicle (insurance, technical inspection, transport authorization); deliver signed delivery documents and loading slips to the person responsible at each return from mission; write an accident report;

Customer/passenger relationship: welcome passengers with courtesy and ensure their comfort and safety on board (D Permit); inform customers/passengers in case of delay or unforeseen events; ensure compliance with safety instructions on board the vehicle.

Safety and compliance: strictly apply the HSE (Hygiene, Safety, Environment) procedures of Africa Food Manufacture; comply with safety rules specific to intervention sites (warehouses, factories, ports); never drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or substances altering driving abilities; participate in safety exercises and mandatory training.

Candidate profile Academic level: BEPC Baccalaureate or equivalent; CAP/BEP Road driving appreciated. Mandatory permits: Permit D (public transport) AND Permit E (heavy trailer) valid. Professional experience: 03 to 05 years of experience driving heavy goods vehicles/public transport. ÂMaximum age: 32 years. Valid medical examination of driving ability. FIMO/FCO (Minimum Mandatory Initial Training / Compulsory Continuing Education) up-to-date or local equivalent. Blank judicial box. Knowledge of local and regional road network.

Technical skills Control of the driving of public transport vehicles (bus, coach) – Permit D); control of the conduct of articulated assemblies and vehicles with heavy trailers (Permit E); in-depth knowledge of the traffic code and regulations on driving and rest times; knowledge of Incoterms and procedures for transporting goods (an asset); control of the operation of the tachograph / digital tachograph; knowledge of docking techniques and safety of loads; notions of basic mechanics to perform the level.
