Employment Specialist

The Employment Specialist at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is responsible for administering services that help refugees and immigrants achieve self-sufficiency through employment. This role involves providing employment services, facilitating job readiness, and working closely with employers and community organizations. The Employment Specialist will document employment activities and outcomes, support program compliance, and develop strong relationships with local employers. The position requires effective communication and collaboration within a team to deliver comprehensive services to program participants. Relevant degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of U.S. job search and placement Effective communication in a multi-cultural environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Self-starter with problem-solving skills Professional proficiency in English Highly organized with administrative skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Commitment to anti-racism and ongoing learning
