Employment Specialist

The Employment Specialist at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is responsible for administering services that help refugees and immigrants achieve self-sufficiency through employment. This role involves providing case management, facilitating job readiness workshops, and developing relationships with local employers. The Employment Specialist will document employment activities and ensure compliance with program requirements. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to support program participants in their job search and placement efforts. Relevant degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of U.S. job search and placement Effective communication in a multi-cultural environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving skills and time management Professional proficiency in English Organizational skills for administrative tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Commitment to anti-racism and ongoing learning
