Job Description

The Senior Youth Program Specialist at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is responsible for implementing and teaching IRC’s Youth and Education Programs in Spokane, WA. This role involves direct instruction in the Individualized Tutoring Program, supporting families in navigating the U.S. school system, and coordinating family engagement events. The specialist will work closely with students, families, and community partners to enhance educational opportunities for youth from refugee and immigrant backgrounds. The position requires a commitment to creating safe learning environments and utilizing trauma-informed practices. Degree or certification in Education or related field 2-4 years relevant experience in teaching or youth development Experience in training and facilitation Cross-cultural experience with refugee or immigrant communities Experience with multi-lingual students and families Strong communication skills Proficiency in MS Office suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to be First Aid/CPR certified
