Job Description

The Protection Assistant will support the implementation of the Protection Programme in Cameroon, focusing on return and reintegration components with an emphasis on protection-centred case management. The role involves delivering integrated protection services to vulnerable migrants, coordinating with national authorities and partners, and strengthening community-based protection mechanisms. Responsibilities include project management, assisting with return activities, and supporting livelihoods initiatives for at-risk individuals. The position requires travel based on program needs and adherence to IOM’s protection standards. High School Degree with 4 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience Experience in countering human trafficking and case management Familiarity with IOM's return and reintegration activities Experience in liaison with governmental authorities and NGOs Exposure to emergency responses and internal displacement Professional skills in beneficiary interaction Good communication and writing skills Proficiency in MS Office and databases Fluency in French and English
