Job Description

The Protection Assistant will support the implementation of the Protection Programme in Cameroon, focusing on return and reintegration components. The role involves working closely with vulnerable migrants, including victims of trafficking and unaccompanied children, to ensure compliance with IOM’s protection standards. Responsibilities include project management, community initiatives, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The position requires effective communication and the ability to adapt to new challenges in protection work. High School Degree with 4 years experience or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience Experience in countering human trafficking and case management Familiarity with IOM's return and reintegration activities Experience in liaising with governmental authorities and NGOs Exposure to emergency responses and internal displacement Fluency in French and English (oral and written) Good communication and writing skills Proficiency in MS Office and databases
