POSITION DETAILS: : Job Title: Data Analyst Contract Type: International Consultant Level: Level I Duration: 11-months Duty Station: Kinshasa, DRC Number of Position to be filled: Two, one Data Analyst M&E and one Data Analyst VAM ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT: : This vacancy is for two positions both based in Kinshasa reporting to the Head of M&E and Head of VAM respectively. JOB PURPOSE: : The World Food Programme (WFP) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) operates one of the largest and most complex humanitarian portfolios globally, addressing acute food insecurity, nutrition, and resilience-building. The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) unit plays a critical role in ensuring evidence-based decision-making, accountability to affected populations, and alignment with corporate standards and donor requirements. error code: 1101 To strengthen data-driven programming, WFP DRC seeks a Data Analyst at the P2 level to enhance data management, visualization, and analytical capacity within the M&E team. The Data Analyst will support the M&E team in managing large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality, and producing analysis that translate into actionable insights. The role will contribute to institutional learning, programme improvement, and donor reporting by transforming raw data into clear, credible, and motivating evidence. ACCOUNTABILITIES: : 1. Data systems management Ensure management and maintenance of M&E and VAM data systems, dashboards and databases Ensure data quality assurance processes: cleaning, validation, verification and consistency checks Develop automated routines for data processing and analysis (Python, R, SQL, Power BI, etc) Responsible for responding to data analysis requests to M&E and VAM, including donors' requirements 2. Analysis and reporting Conduct statistical analysis to support process, output and outcome monitoring Produce high quality dashboards, briefs, infographics and thematic reports 3. Overall support to M&E strategy and minimum monitoring requirements Contribute to the design of monitoring tools and sampling frameworks Provide analytical inputs for monitoring plans, logframes and indicators aligned with WFP corporate standards 4. Any other tasks as requested by supervisor EXPECTED DELIVERABLES : Automated data analysis feeding into regularly updated dashboards. Cleaned and validated dataset for all monitoring activities. Contribution to monthly analytical briefs highlighting key trends and program performance. Promote data literacy and evidence-based decision-making across teams. Develop and deploy innovative tools and dashboards, including pilot AI-forecasting food security tools. Automation of food security and targeting data in the DRC (since 2018). Develop interoperability tools across MODA, SCOPE, SugarCRM, and related dashboards. Ensure the transfer of technical skills and tools to VAM / M&E teams and sub-office staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: : Education: Advanced university degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field. Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience in data management, analysis, and visualization, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts. Experience with large dataset, digital data collection tools and dashboards development. Technical Skills: Profiency in statisticial software (R, Python, Stata, SPSS), data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), Databases and SQL.
