AD Consult International is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort across its guest apartments and facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that all assigned spaces are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Role Summary The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining guest apartments, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. The role involves ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests while adhering to established health, safety, and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities & Duties Cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining guest apartments, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors and surfaces. Changing bed linens and making beds in accordance with required standards. Replenishing toiletries, towels, and other essential supplies. Collecting and disposing of waste and replacing trash liners. Reporting maintenance issues, damages, and repairs to the relevant supervisor. Assisting with laundry and ironing duties as required. Following safety and security procedures when cleaning and accessing guest apartments. Adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times. Working across different sites as assigned. Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when interacting with guests and colleagues. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent. Previous experience as a housekeeper, maid, or in a similar role within a hotel or residential setting. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and techniques. A certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field is an added advantage. Skills and Competencies Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. High level of reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy items. Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required. Willingness to work across different sites as assigned. Must be based in Blantyre, Malawi.
