BUILD AFRICA WE ARE HIRING! POSITION: TILL OPERATOR Location: Blantyre Deadline: 10th November, 2026 Build Africa is Malawi’s Megastore brand providing a wide range of Hardware and Homeware supplies. We are requiring the services of a fully qualified and competent Till Operator. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately process customer purchases through the till system. Handle cash, card and mobile money transactions securely. Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as per company policies. Maintain a clean and organized till area at all times. Ensure correct pricing and scan all items properly. Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. Provide excellent customer service and resolve basic customer queries. Report any till discrepancies or suspicious activity to the supervisor. Follow all company procedures and safety standards. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent. Proven experience as a till operator or cashier in a retail environment (added advantage). Basic knowledge of sales systems and POS machines. Strong numeracy and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. High level of honesty, integrity and accountability. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
