POSITION: MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (MDC) MANAGER Location: Blantyre, Malawi ABOUT MUBAS The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) is a teaching, research, and entrepreneurial university specialising in Business and Applied Sciences. The University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Management Development Centre (MDC) Manager . KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing, reviewing, implementing, and monitoring policies, plans, programmes, strategies, guidelines, and budgets for the Centre. Monitoring and maintaining standards for the Centre’s activities. Initiating and undertaking research projects, consultancies, outreach programmes, and tracer studies. Raising the Centre’s international academic profile in line with the University’s Internationalisation Strategy. Establishing and maintaining partnerships with Government, the public and private sectors, development partners, and the international community. Representing the Centre at various forums. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A minimum of a Doctorate Degree in a relevant field from an institution accredited or recognised under the National Council for Higher Education Act. At least five (5) years of experience in a management position in a higher education institution. Must be conversant with consultancy and management development. TENURE OF OFFICE The successful candidate will be offered a three-year performance-based contract, which may be renewed once.
