Team members collaborate closely with customers and authorities to ensure smooth customs processes and reliable delivery. CLANSPACE LOGISTICS LTD values integrity, accuracy, and professional service in all aspects of its operations. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Declarant/Customs Clearance role based in Kigali. The role involves preparing and submitting customs declarations for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with relevant customs regulations and procedures. The Declarant will review and verify shipping documents, coordinate with customs officials, and follow up on clearance status to avoid delays. Daily tasks include communicating with clients and internal teams about requirements, duties, and timelines, as well as maintaining accurate records of all customs transactions. The role also requires monitoring regulatory changes and advising the company and clients on any impacts to import and export processes. Qualifications Strong customs operations skills, including Customs Brokerage and familiarity with Import and Export procedures. Knowledge of Import Export regulations and documentation, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant rules. Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with clients, authorities, and colleagues. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, declarations, and data entry. Ability to work on-site in Kigali and manage multiple cases under time constraints. Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance; prior work with Rwanda Revenue Authority is an advantage. Basic proficiency in computer applications and customs-related software systems. Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
