True Cadence, a growing UK social enterprise, is seeking an experienced Administrator to lead its administrative function remotely from Nigeria. This full-time freelance contract role is designed for an independent contractor based in Nigeria, with no UK visa sponsorship or relocation assistance provided.
As Administrator, you will ensure the organisation's systems, documentation, and day-to-day operations run efficiently. You will support all departments by maintaining high-quality documentation, coordinating meetings, managing records, and supporting HR and grant administration. The role requires someone who takes pride in accurate work, enjoys improving systems, and can work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Organisation-wide Administration: Coordinate daily administrative tasks, provide support across departments, manage competing priorities, maintain records and filing systems, and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Document Quality Assurance: Produce professional documents such as reports, policies, procedures, and templates. Proofread for grammar, formatting, and consistency. Maintain document standards, version control, and review schedules.
SharePoint & Systems: Maintain organised SharePoint libraries, ensure secure and accessible document storage, support colleagues in using systems, and identify workflow improvements.
Meetings & Governance: Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, produce accurate minutes and action logs, monitor outstanding actions, and support governance and compliance.
HR & Organisational Support: Assist with recruitment administration, onboarding, personnel records, training, probation, and DBS records. Help with policies and HR documentation.
Grant & Project Administration: Conduct grant research, maintain grant documentation and programme records, support monitoring and reporting, and assist with project administration across programmes.
Continuous Improvement: Improve administrative systems, develop new templates and standard operating procedures, and streamline routine tasks to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years’ experience in administration, operations support, or office coordination. Excellent written and spoken English. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and cloud-based document management systems. Confidence using technology and digital tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Professional communication skills. Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR principles. Reliable internet connection and suitable home working environment.
Desirable: Experience supporting a UK charity, Community Interest Company, or social enterprise. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Asana or similar project management software. Experience supporting grant-funded programmes. HR administration experience. Knowledge of safeguarding principles.
What Success Looks Like: Maintaining accurate records, producing high-quality documents with minimal amendments, delivering meeting papers on time, keeping SharePoint organised, supporting successful grant administration, introducing practical improvements, and building positive working relationships.

Location: Remote (Nigeria)
Remuneration: NGN 300,000-350,000 Monthly (depending on experience)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Operations Director
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (10:00 am–6:00 pm UK time), including a paid one-hour lunch break.
Working Condition: You will be engaged on a freelance basis with monthly payments and a standard contractor agreement. You will work closely with the UK-based team and must be comfortable collaborating across time zones. Contractors are expected to maintain a professional remote working environment, reliable internet access, and availability during agreed hours.
