Le titulaire du poste aura pour responsabilités de superviser et mettre en œuvre les politiques et procédures de santé et sécurité au travail, de mener des inspections régulières des lieux de travail afin d'identifier les dangers potentiels, et de veiller au respect des réglementations applicables en matière de santé et sécurité ainsi que des normes de l'entreprise. Il devra également organiser des séances d'accueil sécurité, des causeries sur la sécurité (toolbox talks) et des formations pour les employés, enquêter sur les accidents, incidents et quasi-accidents, et recommander des actions correctives. La surveillance de l'utilisation des équipements de protection individuelle (EPI) et le respect des procédures de sécurité font partie intégrante du rôle, tout comme la tenue à jour des dossiers de santé et sécurité et la préparation de rapports. Enfin, le superviseur soutiendra la préparation aux situations d'urgence, les évaluations des risques et les initiatives d'amélioration de la sécurité.

Le candidat idéal justifie d'au moins 5 ans d'expérience à un poste de supervision, de préférence dans le domaine de la santé et sécurité ou dans un environnement industriel connexe. Il détient une licence en santé et sécurité au travail ou en hygiène et sécurité industrielle. Une solide connaissance des pratiques et réglementations en matière de santé et sécurité au travail est requise, ainsi que de bonnes compétences en leadership, en communication et en résolution de problèmes. La capacité à réaliser des évaluations des risques et des inspections de sécurité, et à travailler efficacement dans un environnement industriel exigeant, est essentielle.
