Person Specifications a) Qualifications A PhD in a scientific discipline from a reputable, accredited academic institution is required. A recognized awarding institution must confer a Master’s Degree in a Science field, which should align with both the Bachelor’s and PhD credentials. A recognized institution must confer an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline. b) Experience Applicants must possess a minimum of seven years of teaching and/or research experience in an accredited Institution of Higher Learning, a recognized Research Organization, or a relevant Industry. Additionally, at least three of those years should have been completed at the rank of Senior Lecturer or an equivalent position. Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of academic or professional contribution, evidenced by five (5) newly recognized publications in their field of specialization published within the past five (5) years. Supervising a minimum of five graduate students through to completion, including at least one doctoral candidate, forms a core responsibility of this role. Candidates must have secured research or project grants totaling at least USD 50,000 in their capacity as a Principal Investigator (PI) within the past five years.
