Role Overview Give Directly is seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior Manager based in Rwanda to oversee government relations, strategic partnerships, public engagement, and resource mobilization for our Rwanda Country Office. This pivotal role will drive the execution of our mission—unconditional cash transfers—by cultivating trust, collaboration, and alignment with public and private stakeholders while securing the financial and institutional backing required to expand our impact. Serving as the organization’s external representative, the Senior Manager will forge and sustain high-level relationships with government entities, civil society organizations, media outlets, and both local and international donors. Reporting directly to the Country Director, this position will be instrumental in shaping Give Directly’s external strategy, spearheading resource mobilization, managing risks, and identifying growth opportunities through multi-sector engagement. Key Responsibilities Government & Stakeholder Engagement Cultivate and strengthen ties with senior government officials to explore funding and partnership prospects. Develop and nurture advocates within public institutions to champion Give Directly’s mission. Liaise with relevant government agencies regarding our initiatives, approach, and impact, including securing necessary approvals. Monitor the health of key stakeholder relationships and implement strategies to enhance engagement. Represent Give Directly at national conferences, forums, and critical meetings, including high-stakes scenarios. Ensure adherence to government directives, regulations, and protocols. Align our operations with national poverty reduction strategies and development agendas while guiding field teams to comply with government requirements. Identify and address potential risks in government interactions, collaborating across teams to implement preventive measures.
